Welcome to the Kinlough Glenade parish website.

We hope our website is an interesting and worthwhile location for parishioners and visitors to keep up to date with what’s happening in our parish. We welcome in a special way all natives of the parish who are living elsewhere in Ireland or scattered throughout the world. We hope that this website will help to keep you in touch with your native parish. We also hope that those whose parents or ancestors come from this parish will learn more about their ancestral home.

The parish of Kinlough Glenade is the most northerly and westerly in the Diocese of Kilmore. It is the only maritime parish in the diocese containing Leitrim’s entire three miles of coastline. The parish has four churches, Kinlough (St Aidan), Glenade (St. Michael), Tullaghan (St. Patrick) and Ballintrillick (St. Brigid). It was originally two parishes which were united in 1969. Ballintrillick is Kilmore’s only church in Co. Sligo. Other notable religious sites in the parish are Tawley Mass Rock, St. Patrick’s Well and Tullaghan Cross.

As a parish we welcome anyone who wishes to join us for worship and active involvement in parish life. Our parish strives to be welcoming and encouraging to all.
